Analyzing Company Reviews

Post by: Fetpak Admin Tags: analyze Company Reviews, analzye reviews, bad reviews, business reviews No Comments

You find a company online that has products that interest you.  If you have never purchased from that company then how do you know if they are honest?  Their products are priced reasonably and appear to be good quality, but that does not tell you if the company is honest.

The best way to determine honesty is read their reviews.  By reviews we certainly do not mean testimonials, nor do we mean reviews posted on their website.  We mean completely independent reviews.   Usually these can be found if you search the companies name and then the words “reviews”.

When looking at reviews you should first look at the companies general rating, such as Fetpak’s which currently stands at 4.64 out of 5 on Review.io   Less than a 4.3 out of five is a red flag on the company.  You want an extremely high customer satisfaction rate.  Few reviews are higher than Fetpak’s 4.64 simply because certain customers never give 5 stars, even if completely happy with the company, they still give a 4 to encourage the company to do better.  We disagree with doing this as it ends up lowering a companies rating due to no reason at all.

After seeing the companies general rating, look at the negative reviews, the 1 and 2’s.  These are obviously people unhappy with the company.  Low number reviews pull ratings down substantially.  See if these negative reviews have any merit.  Some may and some may not.

An example of an unreasonable negative review was one Fetpak received stating a disappointment the slow transit time.  However when we saw that review we checked out why there was an issue since Fetpak ships out orders the same or next day.  We found that we had two feet of snow the day that customer ordered and the entire region was shut down for 2 days.

Which brings us to the final way to determine honesty.  Look at the companies responses to negative reviews.  Does the company publicly respond to negative reviews?  If so, is it a  legitimate response?  Was it simply an error and the company apologized?  Or is the negative reviewer unreasonable?  Is there a pattern of negative reviews?

Scanning the reviews is the way to determine customer satisfaction and company honesty. Whether the company is large or small, reviews matter.
